Our Cosmic Tale

All Illustrations were hand-drawn and rendered digitally by artist, Allison Beilke.

Once upon a quarantine, in homes filled with books, cats, and a whole lot of dreams,

Kristen and Allison were each quietly conjuring up the same vision: a tarot deck that would bridge the cosmic and the everyday, the mystical and the playful.

Kristen, a tarot interpreter and internationally recognized educator , brought deep metaphysical wisdom and years of experience training teachers and college professors around the world. She had all the knowledge but needed a creative partner .

Meanwhile, Allison, a talented designer and budding tarot reader, had a knack for illustrating magic but felt she could use a little cosmic guidance to make it sing.

As fate would have it, Allison married Kristen’s childhood friend, and soon, they bonded over their shared passions: tarot, art, social justice , inclusion , and, of course, cats.

With Kristen’s expertise in educational design and Allison’s creative brilliance , they started with just the Major Arcana, but the project flowed with such ease and joy that they soon found themselves creating an entire 78-card deck.

Why Cosmic “Critters” Tarot?

Artist, Allison Beilke has always loved illustrating animals, especially if they have lots of personality. She and her sisters spent their childhood either playing with Sylvania toys (tiny woodland animals dressed in calico outfits) or pretending to be pioneer bunnies.

She was inspired to create this Tarot deck with animals dressed in medieval garb. It’s not only fun and cute, but the different creatures make it easier to memorize the cards and reference the symbolism and myth behind each card.

    Artist, dreamer, and lover of all things magical, Allison weaves astrology, feng shui, and seasonal celebrations into her enchanting on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Fueled by fiery Sagittarius energy, she shares her cozy world with a loving husband, two pups, and her regal cat, Dr. Katz. By day, she works as an interior design consultant. When not designing, you’ll find her sipping coffee with her feline "ruler of the universe" .
